The DGT 3490s are multifunction telephone sets designed for handling telephone communication. The sets are connected to a DGT 3450 system exchange by a digital link with a standard Up0. The DGT 3490s can also be utilised for data transmission. The special advantages of the sets are visible in subscriber networks, (office, institution, hotel, etc.), where they can operate either as operator consoles or secretary/director sets as well as in dedicated networks (the power and mining sectors, Polish Railway, Polish Ministry of National Defence, etc.), operating as dispatcher console. A range of advanced construction solutions facilitate their operation. Up to 4 extention keypads can be connected to the sets, the number of programmable keys (35-key each).
